But at My School there were five other Emilys in her class, so they solved the identity crisis by using the initial of each Emily's last name. When she was born, I had thought Emily was such a beautiful and unique name. In a way, everything they ever needed to know they learned at My School.Įmily started out in the preschool a couple of mornings a week when she was just 3. And, thinking back on my daughters' experiences there, I thought about the Fulghum poem and how true it was. Trust in God always.Her older sister, Emily, who is now 24, went to My School, too. These are what we teach our children and what we should always hold close to our heart, even when life gets extra busy, extra complicated, or extra difficult. In our faith, we are also reminded of basic truths. It might even help us to look at these things in a more basic way because it helps us to see what’s most important. When we look to how we should make the most of our life, we can go back and be reminded of our earliest lessons. Some of the things we struggled with most since we were young, we may even struggle with today.
